My parents met me at the airport, and then we went to the Kintai Bridge.
The Kintai Bridge (錦帯橋, Kintai-kyō) is one of Japan's three most famous bridges and is designated as a National Site of Scenic Beauty. This distinctive wooden arch bridge in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, was originally built in 1673.
Although it was washed away by a flood in 1950, it was faithfully reconstructed in 1953 using traditional techniques.
The bridge offers beautiful scenery that changes with the four seasons, attracting many tourists, particularly during the cherry blossom season in spring and when the leaves turn red in autumn.
There were many foreign tourists there.
It wasn't as crowded as Kyoto, so if you're planning a trip to Hiroshima, I'd recommend extending your visit to see it.
